Public Relations ~
Owners and boards participate in public relations by promoting, rationalizing,
positioning and lobbying regarding their child care service and their provision of
a quality child care service. Public Relations involves speaking out in public
about the quality of one's service and on policy or societal trends which will
affect all child care services and the provision of a quality child care system.
Advocacy ~
Owners and boards have a responsibility to advocate with the government, the general
public and the business community regarding the inherent value of child care. They
advocate for recognition of the value of the contributions made by quality child care and
early childhood practitioners and for children's right to quality child care.
