Niagara Invests in Child Care

The Children's Services Department of the Regional Municipality of Niagara makes numerous investments in the community's licensed child care and family resource programs. Among these investments are tuition subsidies for the owners, managers, and staff of these programs to attend professional development events coordinated by the ECCDC. Others include helping the ECCDC offset some of the costs of providing other services and supports child care providers urgently need. These investments allow Niagara's child care providers to be among the best qualified and equipped in the country, and make all other sources of child care revenue go further.

The ECCDC offers the owners, managers, employees, and boards of licensed child care programs a wide variety of products and services designed to enhance the quality, efficiency, and value of the child care they deliver.

ECCDC program members not only enjoy unlimited access to a lending library of curriculum aids, classroom equipment items, and program planning resources; they receive substantial discounts on training programs, workshops, and other professional development events and are eligible to market
their services free of charge in the Child Care Choices online directory.

The ECCDC also offers affordable management and governance consulting services; customized on-site training; technology support; access to meeting facilities; and a Group Purchasing Program that makes it less expensive and more convenient for you to obtain the supplies you need.
