Changes to the Safe Drinking Water Act
The Ministry of Children and Youth Services advise of recent changes to the Safe Drinking Water Act. Follow the links below to download the Appendix to the Day Nurseries Licensing Checklist in either English or French. Due to the changes this amendment is being completed at each license renewal inspection until it is added to the licensing tablet. The Ministry advises it be read over carefully because there have been significant changes to the Safe Drinking Water Act - especially if your building was built before 1990.

The Ministry has also included a list of commercial laboratories licensed in Ontario to test for lead in drinking water (follow the link below).

In the summer of 2007, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services went online with a searchable database of all licensed child care centres (including licensing status) in the province of Ontario.
