June 15, 2012 - Judy Arnott Retires from the ECCDC
We are at once delighted and disheartened to announce the retirement of Judy Arnott. Judy has been a dedicated employee of the Early Childhood Community Development Centre for 16 years and has been a positive and passionate advocate for child care for nearly 50 years.
Judy's retirement is our loss, but a well-deserved respite for her. The staff and board of the ECCDC wish her the very best as she enters this new chapter of her life.
February 15, 2012 - New Features Added to ECCDC Intranet Pages for Child Care Centre Users
We have been working on expanding and improving our ECCDC Intranet, primarily in the area of contact information and Professional Resource Library membership management. If you are a Licensed Child Care Centre in Niagara and possess a login to our Intranet, click here for more detailed information on the changes you will see and how to use the new features. July 12, 2011 - ECCDC's Executive Director Wins National Award
The ECCDC Board of Directors and Staff Team are absolutely thrilled and very proud to announce that Tammy McCormick Ferguson was the 2011 Recipient of the Canadian Child Care Federation’s Award for Excellence in Child Care.
This is a very highly distinguished award in Canada, which is given only every two years. Tammy McCormick Ferguson's accomplishments were recognized on Friday, May 27 during the Early Childhood Care and Education New Brunswick National Child Care Conference Awards Banquet in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Recipients are selected for having made a recognized contribution to the profession and for giving their time, talent and energy to enhancing child care in Canada; including contributing to a higher quality of child care, locally, provincially or nationally; advocating on behalf of children, families or caregivers, and; demonstrating commitment, creativitiy, and a high level of responsibility.
June 9, 2011 - ECCDC Reopens in New Location!
The ECCDC is now up and running at its new location at 3340 Schmon Parkway in Thorold. We appreciate your patience with the move and thank you for your support during this time of transition. We apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to serving you in our new facilities!
January 21, 2010 - New ECCDC Website Design
The Early Childhood Community Development Centre website has been updated with a new look and design. The goal is to enhance the navigation to make it easier to find the information and resources that you use. At this time we are NOT changing Child Care Choices or the Online Lending Library. Access for Licensed Child Care centres has not changed. If you have any questions please call the ECCDC at 905-646-7311 x315.
