Shari Hill has worked as an Early Learning and Child Care Resource Consultant with the Early Childhood Community Development Centre for the past four years. A significant portion of Shari’s portfolio is supporting the design and development of play based learning kits available for borrowing through the ECCDC’s resource lending library. Shari also provides customer service coverage for the resource lending library reception and supports many professional development activities and community events including participating on the planning committee for the annual Early Childhood Educator’s Awards of Excellence.
Before joining the ECCDC Team, Shari was formerly an educator within a variety of early learning environments for over 20 years including; a Montessori Casa Classroom, a special needs elementary classroom with the District School Board of Niagara and several local early learning and child care programs. During and after graduating from university; Shari was employed as a Teaching Assistant in the Child Studies Department at Brock University. Additionally, Shari was a home child care practitioner for several years during her children’s formative years.
Shari Hill is a Registered Early Childhood Educator and holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child Studies from Brock University. Shari believes in the importance of life long learning and has continuously engaged in a variety of professional development activities through out her career as an educator.
Shari is energetic and enthusiastic and maintains an ongoing dedication and commitment to supporting those who are educating Niagara’s youngest citizens. Shari is meticulous with details and has exceptional organizational and time management skills. The ECCDC is pleased to have Shari as part of our Training and Resource Services Team.
