Why does the ECCDC gather personal information?
The ECCDC asks those involved in the organization for personal information for a variety of purposes which further its work. These include:
- program and service registration;
- legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements;
- participant needs and eligibility assessment;
- research, planning and education;
- ECCDC sales, services and marketing;
- relationship building;
- philanthropic activities;
- safety and security, and
- volunteer development.
How does the ECCDC ensure privacy protection?
There are safeguards in place that protect the privacy of you and others involved with the ECCDC. Only authorized persons have access to your information. We collect, use, and disclose personal information only for the purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate for a charitable, community association. We do not sell your information to third parties. Our procedures and systems are designed to protect your information from error, loss, and unauthorized access. The ECCDC assumes implied consent for collection, use, and disclosure or personal information as it relates to the work of the ECCDC. We monitor our compliance with applicable privacy legislation. We appreciate your assistance in making sure your information is up to date.
