Must be registered with the College of ECEs
Standard First Aid & CPR-C
Current immunizations
Dr note stating candidate is fit to work with children
Police Check with Vulnerable Sector Clearance within 6 months
Understanding of “How Does Learning Happen?” and the Child Care and Early
Years Act
Safe Food Handler Certification (asset)
QCCN Training (asset)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the care and safety of the children in the school-age program, including walking to/from school and departure/arrival via bus at TCAG
Ability to shift to other age groups (toddler, preschool) as required
Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the program plans, including components required by the curriculum
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow team members
Provide feedback to parents regarding their children, both in person and via technology such as HiMama, School Messenger, etc.
Responsible for the physical condition of the childcare facility – light cleaning and housekeeping duties as required
