Qualifications:

Education: Graduate of a recognized diploma/degree in Early Childhood Education and is registered and in good standing with the College of ECE.

Training: Must have a current Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
Food handlers
CRC-Vulnerable /sector check
WHMIS
Health & Safety Awareness

Job Summary:
Responsible for planning and supporting children in their learning in an Early Childhood program. Conducive to quality care and using the Early Learning Framework (ELECT) and Think, Feel, Act documentation that complements our "How Does Learning Happen?" curriculum (the content of learning) & pedagogy (how learning happens). To provide an indoor & outdoor environment as a third teacher that is inclusive to all children that invites them to investigate, imagine, think, create, problem solve, and make meaning from their experiences.
Responsible for fostering the four foundations (belonging, well-being, engagement, and expression) that support the children's emotional, physical, cognitive, and social development.
Responsible for understanding child development, children from different perspectives & their families through parent engagement.
